From babies to 5th grade, your children will experience a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment with caring, background-checked leaders. When you arrive, just head to the kids building right beside the main building, and our team will help you get them checked in so you can relax and enjoy the service.

From the moment you walk in, you’ll find a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere with music and a message that’s relevant to real life. Services run about 60 minutes, and there’s no need to dress up—just come as you are. Our team may invite you to fill out a quick visitor card so we can connect with you (no pressure!), and you’ll be greeted by a warm, family-like community.

When you arrive, just park in our main parking lot and head to the front doors where our greeters will welcome you. Once inside, you can head down the hallway to the right to grab some coffee, then stop by our Welcome Center located inside the sanctuary on the left-hand side to learn more about what’s happening at Anchor.

Pastor Kevin and our team would love to meet you after the service!
Pastor Kevin Groves has been part of the Anchor Church family in Wilmington, NC for over 15 years. He gave his life to Christ at just 8 years old and began his ministry journey in his early twenties as a youth pastor, going on to serve in several churches throughout the area.
At Anchor, Kevin has faithfully served as Worship Leader and Associate Pastor before stepping into his role as Lead Pastor. He has a genuine passion for helping people connect with God’s Word in a real and practical way, guiding them to better understand God’s plan for their lives.Kevin truly loves people and values relationships. He strives to be present, approachable, and available—whether it’s for prayer, encouragement, or simply walking alongside someone through life.
Kevin and his wife, Shelly, also host a radio show together, Hope in the Morning with Kevin and Shelly, on Hope Radio 88.5 and 106.7 Monday-Friday 6:00am-10:00am, where they continue to encourage and connect with the community.
A lifelong Wilmington local, Kevin enjoys playing music and spending time on the water with his family. He and Shelly have been married for two years and are blessed with three adult children and two grandsons.
